Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026. This policy explains how Mediclus USA collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

Mediclus USA (“Mediclus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is the U.S. distribution storefront operated on behalf of Mediclus Co., Ltd., a dental materials manufacturer headquartered in Cheongju, South Korea. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us when you visit mediclus-usa.com (the “Site”), create an account, or place an order.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the Site.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your password in plain text).
  • Order and shipping information: shipping name, address, city, state, ZIP code, and order history (items purchased, quantities, and totals).
  • Payment information: payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. Mediclus does not receive or store your full card number, expiration date, or CVC on our servers.
  • Communications: information you provide when you contact us for customer support, or professional details (such as workplace, hospital/clinic name, or license number) if you provide them in correspondence.
  • Usage and device information: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and session identifiers, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 3).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account, and verify your identity when you sign in;
  • Process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and send order confirmation, receipt, and shipping-status emails;
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries;
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents (for example, temporary account lockouts after repeated failed sign-in attempts);
  • Maintain and improve the Site, including understanding how visitors use it; and
  • Comply with tax, accounting, product-safety, and other legal obligations.

We do not use your personal information for automated marketing communications unless you have separately opted in. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies & Similar Technologies

The Site uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to function:

  • Authentication cookies/tokens: keep you signed in to your account.
  • Cart session cookies: remember the contents of your shopping cart, including for guests who have not created an account.

We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If this changes, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, request your consent. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may prevent parts of the Site (such as sign-in and checkout) from working correctly.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, and only as needed to operate the Site:

  • Stripe, Inc. — payment processing and fraud prevention.
  • Resend — sending transactional emails (order confirmations, password resets).
  • Supabase — secure database hosting and file storage (product images, catalogues, and certificates).
  • Vercel — web application hosting.
  • Mediclus Co., Ltd. (our South Korea–based parent and manufacturer) — for order fulfillment, product support, and regulatory/quality recordkeeping.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

5. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account remains active. Order records are retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the order, handle returns or warranty claims, and satisfy our tax, accounting, and product-safety recordkeeping obligations — generally for several years after purchase. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we securely delete or anonymize it.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information (you can update your name, email, and saved addresses directly from your account page);
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to our legitimate need to retain order records as described in Section 5;
  • Opt out of any marketing communications; and
  • For California residents, request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and shared, in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.

7. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls on our databases and file storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

Mediclus USA is operated in connection with Mediclus Co., Ltd. in South Korea. As a result, your information may be processed and stored in the United States and South Korea, and accessed by our service providers in other countries where they operate. We take steps to ensure your information continues to be protected wherever it is processed.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for dental professionals, clinics, and other business customers, and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site or communicated to registered users by email.
